Ep 05 – Ori Hofmekler – Biohacking Your Diet

In today’s interview, I sit down with Ori Hofmekler. Ori is a former member of the Israeli Defense Force Army and Israeli Special Forces. In 2002, Ori published the “Warrior Diet” which was met with much critical acclaim and popularized intermittent fasting and THE ancestral Paleolithic diet, long before Paleo was a pop-culture phenomenon.

In 2005-2006, Hofmekler followed-up the “Warrior Diet” with “Maximum Muscle and Minimum Fat” and “The Anti-Estrogenic Diet” which offers natural dietary strategies to combat hormonal disrupting chemicals in our food and environment. Ori’s the also the founder of Defense Nutrition, which offers some of the highest quality nutritional supplements, and whole food based products on the market, like non-denatured bioactive whey protein from grass-fed cows.

Ori and I had an amazing time on this interview, and it sparked a long mentorship and friendship. Many times, having us spending hours on phone discussing business of intermittent bouts and fasting about nutrition fitness and other biohacks the rest of the time. Ori’s a true renaissance man, he’s one of the smartest people I know and that is reflected in today’s episode. So without further ado, please sit back, relax, and enjoy my interview with Ori Hohmekler.
